Support the work
Guardians of the AV is in Phase 0. Funds at this stage go toward field validation, operational hosting, and the first pilot purchases in Lancaster and Palmdale.
Why isn't this live yet?
Guardians of the AV is a grassroots project. Donations go through our fiscal sponsor, Social Good Fund (a 501(c)(3)), so they're tax-deductible today, while we form our own nonprofit, Guardians of the AV, Inc. There is no for-profit parent. The live donation rail opens once our fiscal-sponsor account is in place.
We'd rather not take real money before that question is settled. The disclosure copy a donor sees, the receipt language, and the entity actually receiving the funds all need to match — and right now they don't yet.
We expect this to be resolved within the Phase 0 window. The form will go live the day the fiscal-sponsor decision is signed, with no urgency push and no relaunch fanfare — it'll just start working.

This platform is built so it can be turned off. If it ever fails to serve the people it was built to serve — meaningfully and not transiently — the kill-switch is the structural answer rather than a layered rescue. The mechanism lives in the platform itself; what we publish as we operationalize it is the trigger criteria, the operator authority, the data-handling sequence, and the partner-notification protocol. We share this as a design principle so donors and sponsors know how we think — not as a contract.
Operational details — trigger criteria, operator authority, data-destruction sequence, partner-notification protocol — are still being developed. We don't claim "we will" until those are written and reviewed by counsel.
