Your trust record.
Yours to build. Yours to keep.
Stars and tiers replace resumes, references, and credit history — for anyone the traditional system has left behind. Every star is verified by a partner, navigator, or admin. No self-report.
The five tiers
No sign-up required. The resource map, shelter listings, and crisis line are open to everyone, always.
- Full resource map (meals, shelter, showers, transit)
- Crisis support line
- Emergency shelter information
None — just show up.
A verified phone number is all it takes. We don't ask for your name, address, or ID.
- Meal credits from partner restaurants
- Earning stars for verified work
- Appointment scheduling
- Basic profile (display name, preferred language)
Verify your phone number via SMS.
A registered partner — a shelter, church, outreach worker, or employer — has vouched for you by scanning a QR code.
- Work opportunities at partner sites
- Transportation credits
- Higher credit redemption limits
- Secure document storage
Ask any registered partner org to scan your QR code. Shelters, churches, outreach workers, and employers can all verify you.
Returning citizens: Parole or probation officer attestation also counts as partner verification.
You've provided a form of identity verification. This isn't about surveillance — it's about unlocking more support that requires a higher level of trust.
- Paid work opportunities
- Micro-grants
- Housing pipeline access
- Advanced trust record (visible to employers on request)
Government-issued ID (any form) submitted securely through the app.
DV survivors: Domestic violence survivors: caseworker verification through the Family Justice Center replaces government ID. Your real name and location are never stored.
Returning citizens: Returning citizens: parole or probation officer verification accepted.
Guardians are high-trust community members who mentor others, help verify resources, and support new members. This tier is by nomination only — not applied for.
- Mentoring newer members
- Helping verify local resources
- Leadership opportunities with partner orgs
- Advanced sponsor benefits
By nomination from a platform admin. You cannot apply for this tier.
How stars are earned
Stars are verified by a partner organization, navigator, or platform admin. There is no self-report and no peer attestation. The star weight reflects who verified it:
| Who verifies | Star weight |
|---|---|
| Partner organization staff (shelter, church, employer) | 1.0 |
| Platform admin | 1.0 |
| Assigned navigator | 0.7 |
Stars can be earned for: completing a work shift, on-time arrival, helping a community member, volunteer hours, recovery milestones, keeping appointments, and more.
Recovery and forgiveness
Stars can be soft-revoked — removed from your count without erasing the history. If you make a mistake or something goes wrong, there is a path to appeal. No tier is permanent in the downward direction: you can always earn your way back.
Tier 0 (no account) is always available — no matter what happened, the resource map, emergency shelter information, and crisis line are open to you. No sign-in required.
Your data, your record
Your tier and star history belong to you. You can download it, share it with an employer, or delete it at any time. We will never sell your data or share it with law enforcement without a legally required order.
Domestic violence survivors: your tier record never includes your location or identity. Caseworker-verified tiers are available without government ID.
