Housing credits are the highest-stake credit type on this platform. They cover motel nights, short-term shelter stays, and emergency placements while caseworkers route someone into longer-term housing. Because the dollar value is high and the recipient is by definition in crisis, Housing credits go through a stricter approval pathway than the other types.
The full Housing redemption flow is finalized before this credit goes live, in line with gift acceptance policy T-07.

- Approved motel and short-term shelter partners with DV-safe booking protocols.

- Per-night, varies by partner. Caps and thresholds are set before this credit goes live.

- Booking-tied — the credit collapses into a confirmed reservation, no resale window.
Earning paths
- Tier 3+ users only (caseworker-verifiable)
- AI + partner review → approval → motel booking via platform (Phase 1.5)
- DV-survivor caseworker fast-path bypasses standard tier ladder
Safety + dignity
- Motel booking never reveals the resident's address to any other party
- DV-safe bookings use platform-of-record name, not resident's name
- Gift acceptance policy T-07 governs accepted housing sponsors
